To the Maasai Women,

We write to you today to tell you that our thoughts are with you.  We have learned of your struggle.  Women in all parts of the world have struggled in different ways and continue to struggle to attain what comes easily and naturally to men (confidence, power and control of their own lives). 

You may find it interesting to learn that American women, although we have laws and government to protect us, still have to band together to work towards a life of freedom and fulfillment.  We are not men bashers, nor do we want to discount the importance of men in our lives.  We simply want to join forces to build a community of women working for the betterment of women everywhere.

We urge you to continue to educate yourselves and take small steps toward your freedom and control of your lives as well as your daughter’s lives.  Men are stronger than us physically but through gentle persuasion, love and kindness we may be able to change the way a father views his daughter’s life.  Work for your daughters so their lives are enriched. 

Roseann has two daughters (13 and 11) and Linda has two boys (19 and 16).  We have been friends since we were ten years old.  We have organized a group of women who are dedicated to the enrichment and betterment of women both in America and around the world. 

Linda is a co-sponsor of Faith Soikar and we are saddened that she is having difficulties.  Please help her and her parents to believe in the importance of her education and how beneficial the education of all of your women will help your entire community.
